These yummy sundaes will win the heart of any Valentine this weekend!

Who else is excited for Valentine's Day this weekend?! I can't wait to share these sweet treats with my even sweeter husband. We love the song "Big Love" by Ben Lee. Click the link to add some ambiance to your special day!

Lulu's Love Potion: Gourmet Ice Cream Sundaes

1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 cup chopped or broken-up walnuts or pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon strong coffee
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter in saucepan with cocoa and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a large bowl. Whisk in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla.

In a separate bowl, combine sugar, flour, nuts and salt. Add to the cocoa-mixture. Stir until just combined.

Pour into a greased 8 x 8 –inch-square pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Do not overbake; the brownies should be gooey. Let cool, then cut into bars.

Add some chocolate covered walnuts for an extra yummy crunch! For our special sundaes we used two different flavors of ice-cream and added strawberry jam, hot fudge, whipped cream, and some festive heart sprinkles.

Tablescape Tips

It's always nice to add a fun, personal touch to any table which is why we took these heart placemats and painted them with acrylics. I like to use flowers from my garden along with my vintage vases and champagne flutes. Just in case anyone wants to add more of their favorite toppings, I made sure to place extra ingredients in little bowls for a self serve option!
